千 = thousand (十 ten)
金 = gold
難 = difficult
買 = buy (贝 shell/ expensive)
機會 = opportunity (機 chance + 會 able to)
難 = difficult
求 = seek

Literal translation: Even with a thousand gold, it is difficult to buy an opportunity that is difficult to come by

Let me tell ya, a thousand gold can't buy you this. And – even if it could, who's to say that all the elements would come together and work out. There is no measure for a meaningful experience.

This can be heard quoted in an episode called '你開心我開心' - 'You're happy, I'm happy'.in the show '七十二家房客' - The House of 72 Tenants.

Also spoken in: 王家衛 Wong Kar-wai 's, 一代宗师 'The Grandmaster.' This is the scene in which a kung-fu master finds that his blade may have finally met a proper match – and the sounds of two well-matched blades may be music that he never thought he would get to hear.
